The Poles won the Baltic Sea Blackjack Championship held in Tallinn; the Estonian team gained the second place despite of the supportive home walls.
Posted on 13.11.2002The international blackjack tournament with the largest prize fund in the Baltic Sea region that was held in Tallinn on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at Reval Park Hotel&Casino was won by the Polish team; the Estonia team gained the second and the Finnish team the third place. The Poles Tomir and Jacek achieved double victory in individual ranking and the best Estonian Andres gained the third place.
Teams from three countries participated in the Baltic Sea Blackjack Tournament 2002 that was held for the third time already and the price fund of the tournament was over USD 45,500 i.e. over EEK 700,000. Tomir received USD 20,000 for the individual first ranking; Jacek received USD 10,000 for the second and Andres USD 5,000 for the third ranking. The Poles earned additional USD 10,500 i.e. USD 1,500 per each member of the team for the first place in the ranking of teams.
The Estonian, Finnish and Polish teams met at the third Baltic Sea Blackjack Tournament that was organised by the Estonian Olympic Casino in cooperation with the leading casino operator in Finland RAY Casino and the Polish casino operator Casinos Poland. The tournament that has become the annual occasion of blackjack players will expand considerably next year – casino operators from Sweden, Latvia and Lithuania have expressed their interest in participation.
