Olympic Casino starts developing casino resort and hotel business

Andri Avila, the member of the Management Board of OEG, said that the Group’s future vision is not limited only to casinos operating under the Olympic Casino brand. “Our aim to operate in at least ten Central and Eastern European countries by 2010 remains in force, but when considering the fact that we are already present in eight markets, then we understand that we need new objectives,” said Avila. “At present we are actively seeking opportunities of how to develop into a worldwide operator of casino hotels and casino resorts.”
The role of Karl Otto Skogland in OEG will be locating such new opportunities and the development of new casino hotels and casino resorts. “My objective is to develop and implement the new diversification strategy for OEG,” said Skogland.
Karl Otto Skogland has studied hotel management in Norway and US. 2003 - 2007 he worked as the Chairman of the Management Board of Reval Hotel Management OÜ and 2000 - 2003 was the member of the Council of Reval Hotelligrupi AS.
Olympic Entertainment Group that operates under the Olympic Casino brand name is the largest provider of casino entertainment in the region, employing almost 3,000 people. OEG is the full member of the European Casino Association (ECA). At present the Group operates casinos in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Romania and Poland, and has set up a subsidiary in Slovakia. Shares of OEG are traded in the Main List of the Tallinn Stock Exchange.
