The new underwater style casino that was opened at the end of last week is located at a major traffic junction of the Livobereznaja living area in Kyiv and has 240 square metres of floor space. The casino that reaches through two storeys has 46 latest slot machines and a spacious bar section.
OEG entered the Ukraine gaming market in November 2004. In a little less than three years the company has opened 13 Olympic Casinos and invested around EUR 13 million on the market.
In the nearest future OEG plans to significantly increase its market share in Ukraine since the acquisition of Eldorado, the largest local casino operator, should be completed by the end of September. The initial amount of the transaction is around EUR 9.2 mln and the competition authorities of Ukraine gave the permission for the deal on August 17. At present Eldorado operates two slot machine casinos and three slot machine and table games casinos in Ukraine. Following the closing of the acquisition, all these gaming locations will be re-branded as Olympic Casinos. The acquisition of Eldorado enables Olympic Casino to enter the market of table games since all existing Olympic Casinos in Ukraine are all slot machine casinos.
At present OEG employs more than 200 people in Ukraine. Following the acquisition of Eldorado the company will have more than 600 employees.
