Posted on 03.08.2005Olympic Casino, the largest casino operator in the Baltic States, opened two new casinos yesterday, one in Estonia and the other in Lithuania. One of them, a Cuban style slot machine casino called Habana, was opened in Tallinn in the rooms of the former Rahu cinema. Olympic Casino’s new establishment in Vilnius was opened in the popular Akropolis shopping centre. Olympic Casino has invested a total of 34 million kroons in opening the two casinos.
“Habana casino in Estonia is primarily targeted at the clients coming from Kopli and Kalamaja neighbourhood. As the casino can be easily accessed by public transport, we welcome interested players from Kristiine neighbourhood and the town’s centre,” said Tarmo Kase, Olympic Casino’s managing director in Estonia. The new casino is the sixteenth Olympic Casino’s establishment in Estonia.
The slot machines for the 200-square-metres Habana casino, 36 of them, were ordered from the world’s leading producers – IGT, Bally and Atronic. “We are committed to our casino business concept, which means that we offer our clients top entertainment in our new casino,” assured Tarmo Kase. According to him, various exiting campaigns will be organised and opportunities for extra winnings will be offered. The newly opened casino’s slot machines are linked to the network of Olympic Casino’s Mystery Jackpot as well as to the autojackpot system. Habana casino has also its own local jackpot that is awarded only in this casino.
The author of the casino’s interior design is Meelis Press, who has designed interiors for several other Olympic Casino casinos. “As the name suggests, the main concept behind Habana casino is Cuba with its smooth rhythms, rum and cigars. The casino’s bar drinks list reflects also the Cuban influence,” explained Tarmo Kase. Habana casino is open 24-hours.
The seventh Olympic Casino in Lithuania houses 50 slot machines and three gaming tables on 520 square metres. As in Habana casino, all slot machines in this casino, which is designed in the ancient Greece style, are from IGT, Bally and Atronic.
