Olympic Casino collects support for children without parental care
Posted on 06.12.2004A charity party to conclude the joint charity project by Olympic Casino and Lions Club Tallinn Diana supporting children under the guardianship of grandparents will take place on December 4th at 21 in Reval Park Hotel&Casino in Tallinn.
Olympic Casino in association with Lions Club Tallinn Diana launched a charity campaign last year in December to support children of Tallinn living under the guardianship of grandparents. Calendar 2004 cashboxes were sent to association partners and clients across Estonia for this occasion. “According to the idea of the campaign the companies and people will collect coins to these cashboxes during the year,” explained Olympic Casino’s marketing director Marje Braunbrück.
“Now, a year later, we anticipate the return of distributed cashboxes in order to count and hand over the sums,” said Braunbrück. You can take the filled calendar-cashboxes with You to the charity party “Party of Wishes” on December 4th or bring them to Reval Park Hotel&Casino’s information desk in advance. All the money will be donated to orphans living in Tallinn under the guardianship of grandparents through LC Diana in order to provide them a chance to participate in hobby groups, engage in hobbies or buy clothes and shoes.
“Party of Wishes” will have a Tree of Wishes on which the party guests can place pieces of paper with their Christmas wishes. Olympic Casino will grant the most beautiful wish of them with value up to 3000 kroons. Olympic Casino will also provide a sum collected with a charity Jackpot in addition to donations from cashboxes and the granted wish from the Tree of Wishes.
“It is difficult to predict the exact size of the donation sum because our charity Jackpot is growing by every minute that goes by. The money there is collected from all bets made on slot machines,” said Marje Braunbrück. “We have distributed 500 calendar-cashboxes, so the party on Saturday will show how many of them we will get back.” The famous Estonian vocal group Noorkuu will be performing at the charity party.
More than 30 000 kroons has been collected already during the multiple stage charity project. The majority of the donation sum was collected with a unique electronic card distributed before Christmas last year. Also, 10 000 kroons was collected with the starting events of calendar-cashbox campaign.
